MOISTURIZING COMPLEX

A moisturizing complex is a blend of active ingredients that are designed to hydrate the skin and maintain its moisture level. The most common ingredients in a moisturizing complex are polyglutamic acid, phytosterols and panthenol derivatives.

Polyglutamic acid is a natural amino acid that is known for its moisturizing power and plumping effect on the skin. It helps maintain skin hydration by strengthening the skin barrier and retaining water in the upper layers of the epidermis.

Phytosterols are plant lipids that are able to strengthen the skin barrier of the skin. They maintain skin hydration by reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and protecting the skin against external aggressions.

Panthenol derivatives are compounds derived from vitamin B5. They are known for their moisturizing and soothing properties on the skin. They also help improve skin hydration by strengthening the skin barrier and reducing skin inflammation.

In anti-UV A sun care, a moisturizing complex is particularly interesting because UVA rays can cause dehydration of the skin by damaging its skin barrier.
