ANTIOXIDANTS

Antioxidants, such as green tea and vitamin C derivatives, are common ingredients used in anti-aging facial treatments due to their protective properties against free radicals. Free radicals are unstable and reactive molecules that are produced by the body in response to various factors such as pollution, UV rays, stress, etc. These free radicals can damage skin cells and cause signs of premature aging, such as wrinkles, loss of elasticity and firmness, dark spots and fine lines.

Green tea is a rich source of antioxidants, especially catechins, which help neutralize free radicals and reduce the damage caused by them. Catechins also have anti-inflammatory properties, making them a useful ingredient for reducing redness and skin irritation.

Vitamin C derivatives, such as ascorbic acid, are also effective antioxidants. Vitamin C is a cofactor for the synthesis of collagen, a protein important for the structure and firmness of the skin. It reduces the appearance of dark spots by inhibiting the production of melanin in the skin.

By combining these two ingredients, green tea and vitamin C derivatives, we have created an effective formulation to protect the skin against free radicals and help prevent the signs of premature aging. Antioxidants can also help improve radiance and even skin tone, while soothing irritated skin.
