How long before I can expect to see the first results?

Initial improvements can be seen in skin radiance after a few weeks of regular use. For visible effects on the appearance of aging signs, firmness, and skin texture, consistent use over several months is recommended. Results vary depending on individuals and skin types.

What is the recommended frequency of use?

The recommended protocol varies by model. Refer to the instructions provided with your device or the product page on nooance-paris.com. In general, consistency is key for visible results.

What is the usage duration per charge?

Battery life varies by model. Refer to the manual provided with your device to know the number of sessions per full charge. For all models, we recommend a full charge before first use.

How do I clean my LED mask?

Clean your mask regularly, once or twice a month, or after each session if shared or if your skin is prone to blemishes.

After your session, remove the mask and unplug it. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the surface and remove residues. If necessary, use a mild cleanser or disinfectant wipe, especially if shared. Never wet the electronic parts (LEDs, wires, connectors). Let it air dry completely before storing in a dry, clean place.

Eye protection hurts my eyes.

Protective glasses and silicone eye shields are not designed to be used together. Never combine them. If the light seems too intense with silicone eye shields alone, use only the black glasses. Using both puts pressure on the eyes and makes the session uncomfortable.

Can I use the mask at the same time as a photosensitizing treatment?

No. We advise against using LED devices during photosensitizing treatments. If you are undergoing a specific medical treatment, consult your doctor before use. Their advice takes precedence in all cases.

What are the contraindications for using the mask?

Do not use the mask in the following situations: pregnancy, pregnancy plans, or breastfeeding, as the devices have not been tested in these cases and the risk is unknown. Lupus erythematosus, photosensitive eczema, or albinism due to the risk of severe skin reaction. Known photosensitivity or photosensitivity disorder. Epilepsy or frequent migraines. Hereditary eye diseases. Use of photosensitizing medications. If in doubt, consult your doctor before use.

Does the LED mask have medical properties?

No. Our masks are aesthetic devices aimed at anti-aging prevention and improving skin appearance. They are not medical treatments and do not replace medical or dermatological follow-up. If you have a skin condition, consult your dermatologist before use.

Is the LED mask compatible with exfoliating acids (BHA/PHA) and retinol?

There is no known contraindication to using exfoliating acids or retinol with the LED mask. Apply them strictly after the session, not before. For sensitive skin, introduce retinol gradually into your routine and watch for skin reactions.

Does the LED mask help with brown spots?

Our masks have not been developed or tested for this issue. To address pigmentation spots, we recommend dedicated skincare and personalized advice from your dermatologist.

Can the mask be used after eyebrow pigmentation or permanent hair removal?

NOOĀNCE has not conducted tests on these specific situations. We invite you to consult the professional who performed the treatment, who can provide contraindications suited to your situation.

Is the mask not recommended after a hair transplant?

If you have had a recent hair transplant, consult the specialist who performed the procedure before using an LED device on the area.

Is the LED mask risky for the eyes?

The red and near-infrared light used in our masks poses no known risk to the eyes under normal use. However, we recommend not looking directly at the LEDs during the session. Use the eye protection provided with your device if you are sensitive to brightness.

The light from my mask seems to vary slightly during the session.

Slight light variations may occur if the connection moves slightly. This does not affect the effectiveness of your session and does not damage the device or controller.

Can I use the mask daily?

There is no known scientific contraindication to daily use. However, refer to the recommended protocol in your device manual. If you experience unusual skin reactions, stop sessions and consult a dermatologist.

What is the lifespan of the mask?

LEDs have a nominal lifespan of up to 100,000 hours. The actual lifespan of your device depends on your usage frequency and storage conditions.

I experience redness during or after the session.

Mild redness may appear during the session, especially on thin or highly vascularized skin. This is a normal reaction linked to blood circulation activation. If redness disappears quickly after the session, there is no cause for concern. If it persists or is accompanied by discomfort, stop sessions and consult a dermatologist.

Can I use the mask if I have thin eyelids?

There is no contraindication for people with thin eyelids. Use with eyes open is possible. However, we recommend not looking directly at the LEDs during the session.

Can I use a serum before the mask?

Yes. We recommend applying an aqueous serum before each session. The NOOĀNCE Radiance Mist Serum+ has been specifically formulated and clinically studied to prepare the skin for LED light. Avoid lipid serums, creams, pure vitamin C, and retinol before the session and apply them afterward.

Is it normal for the mask to get warm?

Yes, this is completely normal. The slight warmth felt mainly comes from the skin itself, whose blood circulation is activated by the LED light. The mask's silicone may reflect this heat. If the sensation feels excessive, contact our customer service via the contact form.

Does a more powerful LED mask give better results?

No. The skin does not respond to the maximum dose—it responds to the right dose. Below the activation threshold, the delivered energy is insufficient to trigger a cellular response. Beyond that, the benefit plateaus, or even reverses. This phenomenon, documented by scientific literature, has a name: the biphasic response.
The entire NOOĀNCE approach is based on this principle: bringing the skin into this therapeutic window, and keeping it there. This is what NOOANCE masks allow—calibrated irradiance (minimum 45 mW/cm²), direct contact with the skin thanks to our medical silicone architecture, and a protocol designed to deliver the right dose, at the right time.

Why 10-minute sessions?

Because exposure time follows the same rules as intensity. Beyond the cellular saturation threshold, extending the session does not amplify the results — it only increases the energy delivered without a biological counterpart. Sessions are calibrated to deliver exactly the desired energy dose, consistent with the irradiance of our masks.

How to compare the irradiance of two LED masks?

The total power of a device, expressed in watts, does not indicate what the skin actually receives. Only irradiance—the density of light received per square centimeter of skin, in mW/cm²—is relevant for evaluating the effectiveness of a device. However, this value depends directly on the distance between the light source and the skin: the greater the distance, the more the light disperses, and the more the irradiance drops. A figure announced without specifying the distance is clinically meaningless.

How does NOOĀNCE measure the irradiance of its masks?

Our masks are designed to conform to the contours of the face. We therefore measure light under real-world conditions of use: in contact with medical-grade silicone, wavelength by wavelength — 633 nm and 830 nm measured separately, with an accuracy of ± 2 nm — using a calibrated surface power meter. This is the only method that accurately reflects the dose received by the skin during a session.

BEAUTY TECH - HELMETS

Who is the NOOĀNCE helmet for?

The helmet is designed for people looking to improve hair density, thickness, and help reduce hair loss. It relies on a combination of LEDs and low-level lasers (LLLT) at 650 nm, a wavelength documented in scientific literature for its action on hair follicles and hair growth.

What are the contraindications for using the helmet?

Do not use the helmet in the following situations: taking photosensitizing medications or medical conditions that make the skin sensitive to light. Ongoing cancer or skin disease treatment. Pregnancy or breastfeeding without prior medical advice. Persons under 18 years old. If in doubt, consult your doctor before use.

Should the helmet touch the scalp?

Yes. The helmet must be in contact with your scalp to allow optimal light diffusion. The foam pads are designed to keep the helmet securely in place.

I've been using the helmet for a month and I'm losing more hair than before. Is this normal?

Yes, this can occur at the beginning of use. Stimulation of the hair cycle can cause shedding of hair in the telogen phase, meaning hair that has reached the end of its cycle, present but no longer alive, to promote the emergence of new hair in the anagen phase. This is a temporary phenomenon and usually fades within the first two months. If shedding persists beyond that, consult a dermatologist or doctor.

What is the difference between mode 1 and mode 2?

Mode 1 is the continuous mode, silent and very effective. Mode 2 is the pulsed mode, slightly more documented in scientific literature, but it generates a slight noise related to the light pulses. The choice between the two modes depends on your comfort of use.

Does the helmet work on white hair?

The helmet does not restore pigmentation to white hair. Since melanin is no longer produced in the follicle, hair will grow back white. However, regular use can help support the quality of still pigmented hair and help slow the appearance of white hair.

How do I clean my helmet?

Clean your helmet once or twice a month, or after each session if shared. Remove the helmet and unplug it. Wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. If necessary, use a mild cleaner or disinfectant wipe. Never wet the electronic parts (LEDs, lasers, wires). Let dry completely in open air before storing.

BEAUTY TECH – GENERAL

Is it possible to use Beauty Tech devices during chemotherapy?

No. We strongly advise against using our devices during chemotherapy treatment. Devices that act on cells should not be used when the body is undergoing cancer treatment. The helmet may be considered after treatment ends to help hair regrowth, with medical advice. For any health questions, your doctor's opinion always takes precedence.

From what age can NOOĀNCE Beauty Tech devices be used?

Our devices are recommended from 18 years old. All our clinical studies were conducted on adult volunteers. For minors, consult your doctor before use.

Can the mask and helmet be used together?

Yes, there is no contraindication to using both devices simultaneously. Follow the recommended protocol for each device.

I have melasma. Can I use the LED mask?

Since melasma is a condition particularly reactive to light stimulation, we recommend consulting your dermatologist before use. They can assess if use is appropriate for your specific situation.

Can I travel by plane with my devices?

Yes. The devices are allowed in the cabin. If you want to check them in, keep the remote control or battery with you in the cabin as major airlines forbid lithium batteries in checked luggage. If in doubt, check your airline's conditions.
