Vitamin K2

Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) is a fat-soluble nutrient belonging to the vitamin K family.
Authorized health claim (EU Regulation 432/2012): vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting. This claim is authorized when the daily intake provides at least 15% of the NRV.
In scientific literature, vitamin K2 is documented for its role in regulating calcium metabolism, notably through activating vitamin K-dependent specific proteins. Osteocalcin helps bind calcium in bones, while matrix GLA protein (MGP) helps limit calcium deposits in soft tissues and vessels. These mechanisms are well documented in scientific literature on bone and cardiovascular health.
