Frequently asked questions

Why is the Nooance helmet so effective?

Our helmet combines two complementary technologies: LEDs and low-level lasers (LLLT), which work synergistically to optimize hair stimulation.

We use the 650 nm wavelength, one of the best documented in scientific literature, associated with effects on hair follicles and hair growth. The delivered power is 4.5 mW/cm² for a dose of 6.75 J/cm² per 25-minute session—a calibrated balance for documented efficacy without risk of heating. The recommended protocol is 25 minutes every other day.

Its effectiveness was evaluated by the independent GREDECO laboratory in a clinical study conducted on 21 volunteers, men and women aged 25 to 55, over 6 months of regular use. The objectively measured results are as follows:

-59% hair loss after two months, with continuous improvement up to 6 months

+27.9% increase in hair density

+20.8% increase in hair thickness

Results may vary between individuals.

What results can be expected with the helmet and in what timeframe?

The helmet helps strengthen hair and promotes an environment conducive to hair growth. Results can be seen from 2 months of regular use, with continuous improvement up to 6 months.

Can I use the Helmet daily? What is the maximum time?

The helmet is recommended every other day, not daily. The recommended usage is 25 minutes per session.

Can I use the helmet if I have had a hair transplant?

Consult your transplant specialist before using the helmet to ensure it is suitable for your situation. Many clinics specializing in hair transplants incorporate our helmet into their post-transplant follow-up program.

What are the different phases of a hair's life?

The hair life cycle includes three main phases: anagen, catagen, and telogen, which occur over several years.

1. Anagen phase (growth phase): This phase lasts between 2 and 7 years and determines hair length. Hair grows on average about 1 cm per month during this period.

2. Catagen phase (transition phase): This phase lasts about 10 days. During this period, the hair stops growing and detaches from the hair follicle.

3. Telogen phase (resting phase): This phase lasts about 3 months. The hair remains in place but no longer grows. At the end of this phase, the hair falls out and a new hair begins to grow from the follicle, marking the start of a new cycle.

The duration of these phases varies among individuals and can be influenced by many factors, including age, genetics, and various environmental factors. On average, a person loses between 50 and 100 hairs per day as part of the natural cycle.

What makes the NOOĀNCE Helmet unique for hair growth?

The NOOĀNCE Paris helmet stands out with its dual Laser & LED technology. This combination works deeply to strengthen the hair fiber, promoting denser, thicker hair in an environment conducive to hair growth.

What are the advantages of using the helmet at home rather than in a clinic?

Home use and in-salon sessions are two complementary approaches, each offering advantages. Here’s why integrating home sessions can be beneficial:

• Flexibility and convenience: Home sessions can be easily integrated into your daily or weekly routine, offering flexibility that salon visits may not always provide.

• Regularity and consistency: Good results require regularity and consistency. Home use allows maintaining a constant treatment frequency, which is difficult with salon sessions often organized in spaced courses.

• Cost-effectiveness: Although the initial investment may seem high, it is quickly offset compared to the repeated costs of salon sessions. In the long term, this represents significant savings.

• Complementary approach: Home use does not replace professional salon treatments but complements them. Home sessions can extend and amplify the benefits of salon treatments for a holistic hair care approach.

How do I clean my helmet?

We recommend regularly cleaning your Laser & LED helmet, once or twice a month, or after each session if shared use.

1. After your session, remove the helmet and unplug it.
2. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the device surface and remove residues.
3. If necessary, use a mild cleaner suitable for disinfection—preferable for shared use. You can also use a disinfectant wipe.
4. Make sure not to wet the electronic parts (LEDs, lasers, wires).
5. Let it air dry completely.
6. Store the device in a dry, clean place.

Regular cleaning helps maintain good hygiene during use.

Can I travel by plane with my mask or helmet?

The lightness of the device makes it an ideal travel companion. It is allowed in the cabin. If you wish to check it in, keep the remote/battery with you in the cabin — major airlines prohibit lithium batteries in checked luggage. When in doubt, consult your airline.
