LED Photobiomodulation

The science of light serving the skin

Photobiomodulation (PBM), also called LED light therapy or Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT), is a non-invasive technology that uses medical-grade light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to emit precise wavelengths of visible and infrared light.
The principle is based on the interaction between light photons and chromophores present in our cells, notably cytochrome c oxidase located in the mitochondria. When light reaches these cellular receptors, it triggers a cascade of biochemical reactions that stimulate the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the fundamental energy molecule of our cells.
This cellular energy stimulation results in multiple skin benefits:
- Increased collagen and elastin synthesis
- Accelerated cell regeneration
- Reduced inflammation
- Improved microcirculation
- Stimulated wound healing
NOOĀNCE exclusively uses wavelengths that have achieved unanimous scientific consensus for their skin benefits: 633 nm (red), 830 nm (infrared), and 415 nm (blue). Our LEDs have a precision of ±2 nm, ensuring consistent and targeted efficacy.
The irradiance of our devices — between 45 and 50 mW/cm² — represents the ideal balance between power and safety, allowing effective cellular stimulation without risk of skin overheating. This power, combined with 10-minute sessions, delivers an energy dose of 27 to 30 Joules/cm², corresponding to protocols validated by clinical studies.
